Dr. Heist teaches a Introduction to Marine Biology (Zoology 385), a 3-credit course that includes a 5-day field trip to the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL)<\/a> over Spring Break.<\/p>\n

Because SIUC is an affiliate of GCRL, SIUC students can take summer courses at GCRL with credits that transfer directly to SIUC.<\/p>\n

New for 2017, SIUC offers the Marine Biology Scholarship<\/a> which provides up to $3000 for one student to attend summer classes at GCRL. \u00a0An application form can be found here.<\/p>\n
